This also carries into our involvement in the community. We are proud to host and participate in events to benefit area charities and organizations such as the Lone Star Chapter for Cystic Fibrosis, the Northside Independent School District, the U.S. Military, Girls Inc., SA Youth, City Year, The National Association of Women Business Owners, Sistas in Business, KLRN and the Bexar County Medical Society.







United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County

United Way has been a great way for the Audi Dominion family to give back to our community. Every early fall, United Way makes its way to our dealership's showroom floor, showcases local individuals in need, and provides a simple way to donate. Year after year, the Cavender Auto Family donation goals rise and are met. Our own Rick Cavender leads the donation drive, previously serving as the United Way Chairperson, having raising over $50 million dollars in donations by our company and team members for the 69 agencies and 137 programs of the United Way.

The Lone Star Chapter for Cystic Fibrosis

Audi Dominion hosts the Cystic Fibrosis Lone Star Chapter's Uncork for the Cure. Guests were able to taste savory wines, handcrafted beers, premium spirits, delicious offerings and decadent desserts prepared by San Antonio's top chefs and restaurants. ALL funds raised from the event directly supports the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which helps fight the genetic life-threatening disease that affects the lungs and digestive system.


The United States Military

Over 190,000 military personnel are employed in our community, and it's hard not to show our appreciation. Every Thanksgiving, our team treats a group of United States Marines with lunch on our showroom floor. Even our own loyal customers have proudly shown their gratitude. Retired Army Spc. Justin P. Lane suffered internal injuries, needed a tracheotomy, and lost both legs in Afghanistan in. He was given the warmest welcome through a parade in Comal County, where he was given the keys to a beautiful new house designed especially for him. The only problem was that Justin needed to arrive in style. Our friend and loyal customer stepped in and lent his own keys to an Audi R8 and gave Justin the opportunity to do just that.

Audi Quattro Cup Golf Tournament

Each year Audi Dominion hosts it's annual Audi Quattro cup golf tournament. This customer appreciation event raises funds for sarcoma cancer research. And to help raise additional funds, a silent auction is help during the event, with all proceeds donated being dedicated in the name Audi Dominion team member John Quinlan who passed away from the disease in 2014.


Girls Inc.

Audi Dominion celebrates and has hosts the annual Raise Your Glass for Girls event on its showroom floor. This event includes a wine tasting as well as a silent auction, and its proceeds directly fund the organization's educational programs and allow Girls Inc. to reach even more girls in our community. Girls Inc. inspires more than 140,000 girls across the U.S. and Canada to be strong, smart, and bold. They empower girls to succeed with the help from every individual, the environment, and the programming that Girls Inc. offers.


The Rotary Club and City Year of San Antonio | Kingdom for Kids

 

Each year Volunteers from Cavender Dealerships participate in playground builds for inner city schools and public libraries. Since 1996, Rick Cavender has led the Kingdom for Kids program to complete new playgrounds. Hundreds of Volunteers join in every year to build a playground in just one day!

 

From simply being a sponsor of numerous events such as Tee it Up for City Year, to hosting these events such as the NAWBO San Antonio Chapter's Entrepreneurial Spirit Awards reception, the Audi Dominion team plays a strong role in our community in San Antonio.
